With King Haakon VII as the symbolic and dramatic centrepiece, the exhibition focuses on Nazi Germany’s invasion of Norway on April 9, 1940, and the royal family’s flight through the country, life in exile in the USA and England, and return to Norway in 1945. These events are presented through iconic objects, photographs, and films.
